Buttons you can ‘long press’ in the Android application:
Compose: Will pop out a fast-poster. Dragging out to the picture launches camera and then a photo post. Dragging out to the letters will start a text post.
Reblog: Holding down the reblog button will ‘fast reblog’ It’s probably one of my favorite animations currently in the app.
Like: Holding down the like button will let you share a link to the post. Holding down on the image in a post will have the same effect.
I’ve had mixed feelings about the ‘long-hold’ gesture in the past. In the end, I think it’s a great way to add power-user functionality without visual clutter. Finding what you can and can’t long-press can be tricky however.
