Please. This is what I mean about media swooping in and making Tumblr a big self important echo chamber. I have said NPR has done some of the best work in the way they use Tumblr and still mean it, however, there are plenty of other not so high profile blogs out there worthy of awards. Media would gain my confidence if they were hi-lighting other amazing tumblrs and not themselves. It reminds me of Downton Abbey’s Dowager Countess of Grantham who always won the Flower Show Cup for best bloom because of her influence. Come on media be the thought leaders you claim to be and show us who is really making a difference.
