Doing It Right (IMO)
I like how Melody Kramer. at the nprfreshair tumblr is managing the site. The lights are on, a human & authentic voice, relevant, and good posts.

I had created a tumblr for a record label, but when they blogged music they posted, the theme allowed downloads. Awkward. I didn’t notice until after I published it live.
Finding the code and removing it was easy enough.
In the future I will create a sandbox subtumblr to develop in and mitigate the dangers inherent in live development.

Feature Request: Photo Replies -ALL

please add a checkbox in the preferences that allows photo replies to all posts. I forget to add it to my posts.

I am intrigued with this feature, it’s like a new language. I appears young folks are quick to use this and use it well. Cuz’ well you know: a photo is worth a thousand words.

In my opinion to succeed with tumblr you either have to have unique content that is of interest, or be a real person that others wish to connect to.
I really have yet to see anything unexpected, creative, or innovative from media tumblrs, and think they would do...

Love the color formatting. But I have been having problems, with selecting the right lines of code, and saving. (Could be a browser of java issue)
Support suggested I use http://www.tumblr.com/customize-classic.
I am so pleased with Tumblr support. Prompt, smart, and compassionate.

Last night, I released the Tumblr gem, a command line utility and Ruby library for interacting with Tumblr. Here’s what it does:
$ tumblr my_post.txt
That will publish my_post.txt to Tumblr. Simple.
You can also give it a URL:
