in dash search: This Tumblelog
Still worthless. Most keyword searches for tagged posts bring up nothing. Tagged posts.
I assume Tumblr is working on this.
in the meanwhile here is an obvy workaround, that might not be so obvy to those who do not have a search built into their external tumblr blog:
in the address bar of your browser add “/search/” and the keyword to the URL you are looking for.

This page provides you with Tumblr’s current API status. The API method’s are checked every 5 minutes for valid responses, and are benchmarked.
Useful if you love Third Party Apps (like tumb.la) that take advantage of the Tumblr API.
I would like to see the activity on my posts now...

One of the big challenges on Tumblr right now is the problem of discovery: How can we come up with better ways to help Tumblr users find great new, interesting things outside of the circle of the people they follow? One step toward solving this is our new curated tag pages. Right now, with…

Mel: Do you read my Tumblr for the show?
Secret Santa Recipient: What's a Tumblr?
Mel: Okay. Good.
Is it me?
Or has tumblr’s search tool become increasingly worthless? I cannot find anything by keyword in my own directory.

Anyone else getting a blank when you try to reblog?
Things that occurred to me during the shut down.

Nothing else can do what Tumblr does.
The term “blogging platform” doesn’t really explain Tumblr very well.
If there were more email/sms support to help us talk to each other inside Tumblr, we would use it.

Anyone ever embed tumblr in website, using the API? Howa’ come the slide show doesn’t show up? IS there a work around?
Do you have any good examples of an embedded tumblr?
Have you made a custom CSS for the API?
I’m guessing the slideshow doesn’t show up, because they are using a third party piece of software called Monoslideshow. What I’ve done is just output all the...

Author John Brandon on the College Bowl Season
gq:
The fact is, the good of a bowl game for any self-respecting program is the extra practice time it affords. Winning or losing the game is beside the point. What means something is the three or four additional weeks of work your freshmen get. Yes, commentators, we understand that the players themselves are emotionally involved in the outcome, but let me give you an analogy. If I’m playing...

GAHHHHHH!
I can’t take it! The directory both stupifies and nauseates!
All those stickers mashed on top of each other. The loosely categorized tumblrs with no description piled on a page, clicking “show more” just pumps more random indescribable content onto the same page.
I find it completely worthless.
In other news; somehow it gains me followers.
