tumblr is smartr.
saintnate: One of the things that I really love about this network is that it really is a marketplace for intellectual discourse. Even the most emotional threads have a markedly well thought-out approach, more so here than what I’ve seen in LJ, Blogger, Twitter, whatever else. The sharing of ideas and experiences is what really sets Tumblr apart from the rest of the pack. I think it would be...

I'm secretly giggling
thaithai sed: I think I am fascinated when angry people email you about how they deserve credit for their reblogs. Its rather funny…Im thinking, ” wow, that was dope…let’s reblog it” and you (the blogger) gets to see the reblog on the back end. But…sadly, when you dont actually go out of your way for the outward praise, you get a harassing email. Here’s to bloggers who rip aholes out of other...

Tumblr issues...
craytonc: I’ve been having a ton of problems with Tumblr the past few days, it’s being really slow (especially to load new post pages) and giving me a lot of “server not responding” errors. Anyone else having any problems? Yeah reblogging this post took a few minutes. Sucks the life out of me. I don’t even want to use tumblr when it hangs like this.

Paramore - Decode - High Quality
secondaryartifacts: a higher quality Paramore moment. also in the wide. contrast and compare with the old way. this was done by embedding the youtube player with the fmt=18 flag in a text post. tumblr needs to address this. quickish. I agree that Tumblr should address this promptly.

Oooh, good point about group account not being able to follow. I have some groups that I wish could follow users. Anyone got a script for that?
Dec 13th
I’m the same way in terms of who/why/etc. on following. Also, something that the script doesn’t / cannot consider is that group tumblrs cannot follow you back. I have a number of them myself and I follow a few of my own so I can see them in the dashboard. The script tells me they are not reciprocating, but I still feel the relationship is good! :-)
Dec 13th
Interesting script Shawn. I could see how it could be useful. Frankly, I follow quite a few people who I really don’t care if they follow me back. I just like ther content or thought process or something.

davereed: robot-heart: (via mufti) Me, too. Ditto. I’ve been trying to figure out what to do about this. I just want my dashboard to be, maybe, PG-13, both for work and family viewing, without having to unfollow truly interesting, smart people. I guess unfollow will have to be the solution for now and maybe keep a list of folks to add back when Tumblr gets a content-rating...

Oooh, good point. I still use the pipes one occasionally. But mostly I use the filter option on the dashboard of one of the ‘macrotumblrs’ I have (Follows just under 3,000) I call it “The Stream”. Happy Holidays Shawn!
