I don't like the new reblogging format.
Having the person you’re reblogging credited at the top of the post makes it difficult to understand what you’ve added (if anything). My last reblog, I tried commenting before/above the reblog text, like in an old-school email and it’s still seems kind of weird, but better. I know they’ve just added a load of customisation and I think the reblog format might be one of...

Tumblr reblogs himself
I almost did this the other day: energyface: travors:Now that I think about it I realise that I just reblogged someones reblog of my blog.  Yup I’m confused too. And I just reblogged him. My mind just imploded.

Trimming The Fat(?)
40 posts a day? Wow. I follow 20 people. I have about 7 or 8 following me. (Poor them.) Many of the tumblr blogs that say “randomness” or something like that I don’t even bother with. It is like a twitter feed. Meaningless blurbs in space. Some however, are insightful, witty, entertaining, I am glad to be part of their digital stream of thought. reblogged via: annatruus: Remember this rant about...

Oh, and by the way...
Nice Firefly cussing there, UN. I’m looking for dah bien-hwa from Tumblr, not the Groups luh-suh released recently.

Hrrrmph.
I liked Channels.  Changing the name of something that already existed is just stupid.  Improving the functionality of said “Channels” (and yes, I’m going to continue to call them that) would have been nice.  I want to be able to publish (i.e. make public) or keep private my channels on the fly…whenever the notion to do so should strike me.  Bokay?

Publish Group: Email Support
I submited the issue to support and they are requesting that I send them the groups I want switched over. Hmnn..Ching-wah tsao duh liou mhang. I liked the idea of channels better. “Groups” forces(?) others to be involved, where as a channel is like a feed of info ‘tendril’ on the ‘root’ of your tumblr. Shee-niou.

Maybe if we asked real nice...
I hope the great folks at tumblr can just add a user function that allows us to edit groups after creation. It seems that some people might want to “go public” even with new groups they initially create as private. Someone might even mistakenly create the group as private and need to change it after the fact.

Looks like you have to create the group out of the gate as either public or private. If you create a public group you do have the settings options to change the template, etc. I’ll be setting up a new public Ultimate Food Group to replace the currently private Ultimate Food Channel. Let me know if you want to join in; I’ll need your email address. Send it to rodmitch [at] mitchellrs...

I don't see an edit group function anywhere...
It will be nice when we can edit existing channels… er, I mean, GROUPS. A public display of the content posted to my “groups” was the reason I wanted to create a most of them in the first place! How do I make them public?

So I see when making a new group it gives an option to make it public or private. Where can you change an existing group to public?

Wait, Tumblr Has New Features?
nostrich: You may or may not have noticed that Tumblr pushed a few updates live today. Since they don’t publish updates on their blog, and someone in #tumblrs asked, I’ll post a list. (It’s much more fun to discover them yourself though, so consider skipping this.) The immediate change you’ll notice is a cog next to your following count on the dashboard. Let’s go...

Question!
Doree asks: How do I stop “following” someone on Tumblr? — doree Answer!: In the top right corner of your Tumblr Dashboard you’ll see a button with a silhouette of a person and a number representing how many people you’re following. Click on that to see a list of all the people you’re following. Then, hover your mouse over the person you would like to remove and...

I Hope Follow Feeds can be done by tagging
I was just looking at my Tumblr Dashboard, going from page to page, thinking, Shit, there is too much stuff in here, I can’t keep up! Then I remembered, I can just stop following a few of them, until the bandwidth is reasonable again. Tumblr is a rare website whose social network has real meaning. If you just accumulate “friends”, your experience will become unusable. I current...

“What’s especially frustrating is that this upgrade was planned to expand our capacity to offer several new features which have now been delayed. To hopefully redeem some of your faith, we will be raising the Audio Upload limit to 10 megabytes (from 5), in addition to the already scheduled feature update due in a few days.” Anyone know what “New Features”? 10 meg is better...

Yeah doesn’t mess with the original post. But you can edit your reblogged text. I wish you could edit the photo.

It's static
When I reblog your post, whatever content I have posted to my site remains the same, even if you go back and edit the post that I reblogged… if that’s what you were asking!  :-)
Jan 20th
An interesting question. Well, maybe not...
I don’t want to try this in case it messes up someone else’s tumblog, but does anyone know… If I edit a post after someone has reblogged it, is my edit reflected in their reblog, or is the reblog a static reflection of the post as it was at the time they reblogged it?

Starting a blog...hmmm
Starting… easy Keeping up with it… that’s the hard part. Tonight I will keep it simple. Just take it slow and try to figure this thing out. My friend said “it will be the next big business tool. I feel positive about this.”  Ya and he predicted that MP3’s would be the “next big thing”… Ok, so he was right about that one, who would have thunk it...

It's the little things...
The arrow next to ‘Channels’ was flashing.  And that’s how I knew there had been a new post. I’ll be concerned if the arrow next to ‘Account’ ever starts flashing…
